There is a way to see Prague that most visitors never discover — not because it's hidden, but because it takes an entire day and a guide who knows exactly how to pace it. This is our All Prague in One Day tour — the most complete full-day private tour in Prague. Six hours with a licensed guide, covering the city's most important historic landmarks: Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and Vyšehrad.
No rushing. No bus windows. No strangers. Just you, your guide and Prague at its best — from the medieval heart of the city to a hilltop fortress where the story of Bohemia began over a thousand years ago. On foot or by private car — the choice is yours.
A two-hour tour shows you one side of Prague. A six-hour tour shows you the whole city — and the connections between its districts, its history and its stories that only become clear when you see it all in a single day.
Old Town and the Astronomical Clock
The tour begins in Prague's Old Town — one of the best-preserved medieval city centres in Europe, where the street layout has barely changed in 700 years. Your guide will lead you through the narrow lanes and hidden courtyards that most visitors walk right past.
At the heart of it all is Old Town Square — one of the most beautiful public spaces on the continent. On one side, the twin-towered Týn Church. On the other, the Old Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock. The Orloj is over 600 years old — and still running. Every hour, on the hour, the figures of the Apostles parade past the two small windows above the clock face. Your guide will explain what the dials actually measure — because most visitors have no idea — and share the dark legend of the clockmaker who built it.
From here we follow the Royal Route — the ceremonial path along which Czech kings once processed on their way to coronation at Prague Castle.
Charles Bridge
From Old Town your guide leads you through the medieval lanes to Charles Bridge — the most iconic crossing in Central Europe. Commissioned by Emperor Charles IV in 1357 and completed in the early 15th century, the bridge is lined with 30 Baroque statues of saints, added from 1683 onwards. Each one has a story. Your guide will show you the statue of St. John of Nepomuk, patron saint of bridges — and the bronze plaque beside it, touched by so many hands over the centuries that it gleams gold. Touch it, make a wish — and join a tradition that has been going on for hundreds of years.
From Charles Bridge, the view opens in both directions. To the west: Prague Castle rising above the red rooftops of Malá Strana, reflected in the Vltava below. To the east: the Old Town skyline, its towers and spires against the sky. Below: the river itself, with its weirs and swans and riverboats. This is the view that appears on every photograph of Prague. Standing here in person is something else entirely. Want to know more? See our full .

Prague Castle and Malá Strana
From Charles Bridge we ascend to Prague Castle — the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the seat of Czech rulers for over a thousand years. Your guide will bring the courtyards and ramparts to life with stories of the kings, emperors and presidents who have governed from this hilltop fortress since the 9th century.
Standing before St. Vitus Cathedral — one of the greatest Gothic cathedrals in Europe, 600 years in the making — you will understand why Prague is called the city of a hundred spires. From the castle ramparts, the panorama over the Vltava, the bridges and the Old Town skyline is one of the most iconic views in Europe.
On the way down through Malá Strana — the Lesser Town — your guide will lead you through lanes and courtyards that most visitors never find, the kind of places you can only discover with someone who has walked this city for years. Cobblestone streets, Baroque palaces, hidden gardens that feel a world away from the tourist crowds. Along the way we discover the narrowest street in Prague, so tight it has its own traffic light, and Prague Venice — a hidden canal where the atmosphere suddenly shifts to something far quieter and more intimate.
In the middle of the day, we take a break. Your guide will recommend a traditional Czech restaurant — a chance to try goulash, svíčková or a cold Czech beer. Or simply a coffee in a quiet courtyard. The pace is yours.
From here, a short ride takes us south to the final — and most surprising — chapter of the tour.
Vyšehrad — the fortress most visitors never reach
Most Prague tours end at the castle. Ours doesn't.
The final chapter of this tour takes you to Vyšehrad — an ancient fortress above the Vltava and the place where, according to legend, the story of the Czech nation truly begins. Perched on a rocky cliff above the river, Vyšehrad was already a fortified stronghold in the 10th century — and in the 11th century, King Vratislav II chose it over Prague Castle as his royal seat. Though later rulers returned to the castle across the river, Vyšehrad never lost its significance — or its magic. Today it is one of the most atmospheric places in the city: ancient walls, Romanesque ruins, a neo-Gothic basilica and a cemetery where Dvořák, Smetana and Mucha are buried.
But the real reason to come here is the view. From the Vyšehrad ramparts, the panorama of Prague is breathtaking — and completely different from the view at Prague Castle. Here, the river curves below you, the city spreads out in all directions, and for once there are almost no other tourists in sight.
If you are looking for a private tour that covers all of Prague in a single day, this is it — and a view that fewer than one in ten visitors to Prague ever sees.

FAQ:
How long is the tour and how much walking is involved? The tour is approximately six hours with plenty of stops along the way — including a lunch break. Most of the route is on foot, with a short ride to Vyšehrad. Comfortable shoes are essential, but no special fitness is required.
Is this tour suitable for children? Yes — the legends, the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge and the views from Vyšehrad are universally engaging. Your guide will adapt the pace and the stories to your group.
What makes this tour different from a shorter Prague tour? Most Prague tours cover either the right bank (Old Town) or the left bank (Castle and Malá Strana). This tour covers both — plus Vyšehrad, the ancient fortress on the southern cliff that most visitors never find time to reach. It is the most complete way to see Prague in a single day.
Can I customize the route? Absolutely. If you have already seen Prague Castle or prefer to spend more time in the Jewish Quarter, your guide will adjust the route to match your interests. Just let us know when booking.
Is there a car option? Yes — the same itinerary is available as a car and walking combination, with a private vehicle between districts. Contact us for pricing.
